Good little refrigerator

It was packed terribly. It was mostly open when I received it. The plastic covering on the door was not very easy to take off, but SO WHAT.

It's a nice product that keeps food cold. It's a good size. The stainless finish looks nice. I understand the other reviews, but I was interested in the refrigerator not the packaging, the plastic covering on the front or the fact that it may get scratched. I recommend it.

Does what it needs to do for the price!

My wife and I were going away and we decided our regular, full size laptop was going to be too cumbersome to bring with us. We picked up the Acer Aspire One D250 after testing several netbooks. This was purchased last October, and almost a year later, the unit has performed well. The unit we purchased still had Windows XP installed new, which was a blessing. At the time, Vista was a disaster and I was glad that Microsoft made an exception for ultra low cost PCs to still come pre-installed with XP. We purchased it from a major retailer that had it bundled with the DVD drive/mouse/case and an SD card for under $300, which made it a slam dunk to buy.

It came pre-loaded with a lot of software running, including Norton Internet Security. Out of the box, too much pre-loaded software caused the unit to run terribly slow on 1GB of memory. After removing much of it, the unit runs Office and surfs the web with ease! It can handle mostly all websites with ease, but some software will bog it down. I use it for mostly playing simple games, surfing, and Office, and with that I am very satisfied, because that's what I bought it for. If your looking to edit photos and video, you will be sorely dissapointed

The on board speakers are sub par, and the sound card is also not good. If you plan to listen to a lot of music, stay away from this netbook. I watch YouTube clips sometimes which didn't affect me as much, but the actual music output is very sub par. The on board sound did cause my review to lose a star.

The USB ports are well placed, as is the Ethernet port and the multi-card reader. The unit is great at copying and storing data. The 160GB hard drive is perfect for holding/displaying documents, some music, and lower-resolution photos. Video playback is iffy on this unit, and HD resolution playback was very choppy, as can be expected with this processor.

Battery life has been impressive. I have used the unit 4-5 hours at a time without any major complaint. The bottom of the unit gets downright hot after awhile, even if it is idle.

Overall, I will buy another Acer if I want to get another netbook. Even though the iPad will be tempting, for the price, Acer has proved why they are a major player in netbooks.

Performs as expected

I've had my unit for about a week and it has performed up to my expectations. The power, 800 watts, is typical for a small oven. The controls are logical and echo those of larger units. The black exterior is appealing. The carousel works well and is constructed like a scaled-down version of larger models. Heating is as even as any microwave I've ever used. The interior is large enough to heat a frozen entree, such as Stouffer's or Lean Cuisine, but you'd be pressed to fit in anything bigger with the carousel rotating.

Good value

We bought this microwave for our son's apartment. He and his roommate use it daily and it does a great job. The drawbacks are its size - a little large for a small kitchen, the push-button open latch is a bit stiff and moves the unit when opening, and the interior light comes on only when the door is open. Otherwise it's fairly simple to operate and does a good job heating food evenly and quickly. It's a good value.

I have been using two earlier models of this bread machine for at least 10 maybe 15 years. Never a problem. Makes a good size loaf,tastes great,looks great and the machine always works great. It has never missed a beat. I make at least two breads per week. If my current machine breaks down I will buy this model for sure. It cost more than some other models but you pay for what you get. Great system for the Money
I got this system from Costco for $299.99. Works great right out of the box. Good range on the cameras. Mine are 60 feet or so apart on opposite sides of the house and I get good reception anywhere inside on the receiver. Night vision range is better then expected. I'm not using the audio feature, so I can't comment on it. I want to add two more cameras, but there $170 each from Lorex, so it's cheaper to buy a second system from Costco and keep the second receiver as a backup. Upgrade to a 16 GB card ($35 on Amazon) and get 24 hours of video recording.

best tablet for the money

Considering the $200 price tag, this machine is loaded with features. This is great for people like me who like their desktop, hate laptops but still want something to use on the go.

If the description is not clear you must know;
Screen is single touch
No camera
No video output

The app store is better them some reviews let on. This product is great for people who want to use it to consume media and have a cell phone. You can get an app to read books on the droid and i-phone but who wants to read a book on a 3-4 inch screen.

Great machine

I have had this product under a week, and have already made a few loaves. The raisin bread recipe really surprised me. It has you add the fruit an 1-2 hours in to the cycle to prevent crushing them. I had thought that would result in just a glob of raisins in one section, and nothing in the rest. I WAS WRONG. Raisins were evenly spread throughout the entire loaf. The "french bread" came out a little denser than I was expecting, but the taste was amazing. The wife is setting the timer so we can have some fresh honey wheat ready for breakfast in the morning. Cleanup is easy. The included manual has 42 recipes in it, and the variety is pretty good. They even include some ancient breads.

The only down side is the long time for the cycle to complete. Our last machine (a $50 Walmart special), would have most options done in under 2 hours. The average cycle time for this one if 4 hours, but that is due mainly to long rise periods and an ingredient rest period prior to the cycle.

You gotta get one for yourself!

I am a home automation junkie. I have nearly everything in my home automated and connected to The Internet. I've been using stand-alone programmable thermostats since they came out. I had been wanting to tie my HVAC unit into my home automation system for a while now, but I just couldn't decide what to buy. Honestly, I wasn't impressed with the available systems costing $500 and up that I was finding. I am so glad I came across the BayWeb thermostat! Although it does not directly interface with my existing home automation controls and software, that doesn't matter because the BayWeb Internet software is great. With hour-by-hour usage reports, I can analyze and adjust the schedule anywhere, anytime. The drag-and-drop scheduling interface is the best I've used. I can even control the thermostat from my smart phone.

Ironically, I chose this thermostat because of its price and looks, but I have ended up really appreciating it for its capabilities. Given that, I would now gladly pay twice the price for it. The large, LED display on the wall mounted control is easy to see and simple to adjust (which is important for those of us with bifocals). I really hate that BayWeb offers so many colors for the control. That was truly the most difficult decision I had to make in purchasing it.

The only thing I have found missing is on the software side. I am used to being able to see simple things like "run hours" on a programmable thermostat. Even my 15 year old stand-alone programmable had that capability plus a filter change reminder. I have e-mailed BayWeb about this and they say they have taken my input under consideration. One thing I did find is that I can use their "energy cost" applet programmed at a cost of $1/hour to give me a good graph for daily usage. Still, filter reminders would be nice. The only other thing I can offer as advice for the prospective buyer is in regards to installation. It is not difficult, but keep in mind you will need a 120v A/C outlet within 6 feet of the "hidden" electronic control unit, plus a wired Ethernet connection. For me, I have no problems adding network and A/C outlets, but I am not sure the "average" homeowner would be prepared for this. If you can DIY, then the cost of installation could easily be 2x the price of the hardware.

Does What I Wanted

Bought this and two additinal cameras. EXTREMELY easy to set up, I'm finding a range maximum of about 60 feet or so. I DID purchase a range booster antennae for the receiver but NOT the LOREX brand one (almost 80 bucks!!!). Mine came from ebay for less than $8 and it works great with this unit. I'm very happy with this and will be purchasing a 4th camera.

First impressions

This is the first flat screen TV I have owned and I have had it just for a couple of weeks so I am giving my first impressions. I would have liked to rate it 4.5 stars but that does not seem to be an option. My biggest complaint with this unit is the remote control. If you have large hands you will have problems with pressing the wrong buttons located around the joystick control section. This seems to be a rather poor design choice on the part of LG.

As for the TV itself I couldn't be happier. Since this unit replaced a CRT TV going HD makes quite a difference. Colors look very good and even the sound through the built in speakers is acceptable. I will be using external speakers in the near future, though. Other than the afore mentioned problem with the remote everything else seems to be well laid out.

I ordered the wifi dongle with the set and wifi router hookup is a breeze if your router has WPS. All I had to do was go to the router setup page in my browser, click on the WPS button, go to the TV and click the WPS setup entry on it and everything was set up automatically. Netflix streaming comes across at the highest quality with no buffering pauses. As mentioned in another review Pandora is not accessible with this set at the time. It is, however, accessible through my Blu-Ray player so that is not a real negative for me. Since I don't yet have any blu-ray disks I can't comment on how they look.

Anyway, first impressions to this point are very positive. I would definitely recommend this TV to others.

First tripod, last tripod

I have been researching tripods and it seemed that there was a big spread in the price range. I didn't know what to expect when I bought the Manfrotto. I read the reviews and gave it a shot. I am impressed with the quality, this thing feels like a tank. All of the machining is near perfect and everything fits snugly. The tripod is easy to setup and adjust. I have no issues with vibration as some other reviewers had complained about. I was planning on buying this set of legs and upgrading later down the road but I see no reason to upgrade from here, this is a great tripod. Buy one !!

Awesome piece

Altec Lansing IMT620 is worth the price. The sound is crystal clear for its size. Easily portable. Charging iPod alongside the charging of the unit is a real cool feature. The remote looks like a dark chocolate and is handy. But one needs to press the buttons hard - becomes bit painful when I need to browse the long list of albums while searching to play a song. As a whole, it is really worth having one.

LOVE LOVE LOVE it! But it can still be improved . . .

OK. I've had mine for two weeks . . . and it did take some getting used to, but I've mostly made the adjustment. I LOVE having the slide show. I loaded about 400 photos onto an 2G SD card & inserted into the dream machine & it scrolls through with no problem. The manual definitely could be better written (as other reviewers have pointed out), but more than that, I wish Sony had made it more intuitive. I HATE that I had to pick up the manual to begin with . . . nowadays it seems that the iPod & almost everything that interacts with it works just as your brain would predict. Having to use a manual to figure these things out definitely detract from its user-friendliness. I've seen some folks complain about how dim the clock is on the "sleep" setting. I personally love having everything pitch-black in my room at night, so that, for me, is actually a HUGE PLUS. Another HUGE + is how easy it is to set an alarm for me and another for my husband. I can do it with just the touch of a button, and I can even choose a different radio station from him for each of our alarms. Yay!!! Finally, I use this with my 32G 3GS IPhone. The phone does give me the message about how this device isn't "optimized" to work with it. Whatever. It hasn't given me a single problem playing my music or my movies on it.

Could improve, but this product is Good

Could this monitor improve... well sure, but overall this is a good monitor and gets the job done. Some have said that the video quality is poor and the night vision is horrible. They must be comparing it to other video monitors that they have seen/used because I think the quality is just fine (as a first time mom). I mean we aren't looking to capture memories with this monitor, just see the kid - right? The only thing that we think NEEDs improved is the volume control. The microphone is pretty sensitive and there needs to be another notch down on the volume control. This issue is small, though, in our opinions.

We believe that the secure feature of this monitor makes it well worth the money.

Great monitor

Love this monitor. Great reception, sweet lullaby music and I love that it has a little night light that you can turn on. The size of the base and the parent unit is great-very slim and it can be tucked in anywhere, even in a small space. The reception range of 1,000 feet is great too. It's also nice to see the temperature of the nursery and we love the intercom feature. It works well when one parent is in the nursery and the other parent can talk into the parent unit to see if help is needed.

The only improvement that I would like to see on this product is that the company would offer a second parent unit as an option. I spent a lot of time and researched every baby product that I bought and registered for and this one was the best for us, hands down. I also live in an area where we don't have access to a large selection of baby stores and I totally trust Amazon for product selection, availability and prices.

The best heater!

I really love this heater. I have had it now for a few months. It is for my bedroom and I was worried about sound. It has been very quiet, the fan is quiet and the oscillation doesn't make any noise at all. The settings work very well, the remote is a great thing because you don't have to get out of bed to turn it off. The timer is also very helpful because this way you don't accidentally leave it on. It is also energy efficient. It is really light weight but stable. It has a great handle so it is really easy to move. Also, it heats up my smallish room really quick. I really love it, couldn't want anything better.

Love it!

My daughter had purchased the earlier model (with the green inner paddle)from a local hair supply store and paid in excess of $160.00. That said, I went out and bought a $20.00 iron from a local department store, and got exactly what I paid for! So when it died (less than a year) I searched for something similar to my daughters. I found the exact model two years newer than my daughters here at Amazon for far less than she paid for hers.
All I can say is I love it!

I have been using a Sedu for a few years now and it wasnt bad. I started reading all the great reviews for this so I took the plunge. I am glad I did. This thing rocks. It straightens my hair much faster than the Sedu. Also, it makes my hair straighter than the sedu ever did. I use the hottest settings, because I have thick, coarse middle eastern hair, but for non ethnic hair, i dont think the hottest setting should be used. it also doesnt pull my hair. when i used the sedu, there would always be some strands of hair in the sink, not with this one. great flat iron!

Great set at a very reasonable price

I am an avid cook and I just graduated and am ready to move into my first apartment so I was quite excited to pick out a cookware set of my own. Having just graduated, I didn't want to spend a fortune, but I wanted a set that would last. I went to our local mall and checked out the different sets. I knew I didn't want a non-stick set, so I looked exclusively at stainless steel. This set seemed to strike me as the best value for the money. The pieces were a decent weight, not too light, but not too heavy that I couldn't lift them easily (I'm not terribly strong). The construction felt sturdy and they were, of course, so shiny and pretty. I've also owned several Cuisinart products in the past and I trusted the name. I was thrilled to log onto Amazon later and find the set at a cheaper price and with free shipping! The set looked just as good as it did in the store, and its maiden voyage, a taco stir-fry, turned out beautifully, though it's true that you need to be careful with the heat with this set. I am still getting used to cooking with them but nothing that is problematic. I have been quite satisfied for the month that I have been using these, so I only hope they continue to be a quality addition to my new kitchen.

Exceptional quality at reasonable price

I've got tired of replacing Calphalon One non-stick pan and totally frustrated in Calphalon One infused anodized. They are pricey but won't keep in appearance after long term uses. I decided to learn the proper cooking way with this multiclad pro set and I am extremely happy with it. As always, wait for pan to heat up (when water sizzles) at mid-high, then add oil and wait for heat up (see smoke), then add meat to brown. I am not very good at cooking techniques but it's manageable for me to use it. I found it easier to use canola oil than olive oil, also mid-high is easier than high heat. Fish is a bit tricky and need some practices. Meat and vegetables are easy. I burnt the pan first time using it but with some hot water soaking, it turns back to new. This pan reduces liquid in no time which is good for sauce. Totally recommended.

I had my reservations when buying a cupcake tree but I took my chances on this one over the others I saw because it looked more sturdy and roomier for cupcakes. I love this! I was so impressed with how easy it assembled and disassembled for storage purposes. I used it for my daughter's 3rd birthday party and it was a hit. I am far from an expert cake decorater but I had so many compliments on how pretty this looked with the variety of colors and decorations on the cupcakes. I had alternated violet, rasberry, and turquoise frosted cupcakes on the stand and it looked wonderful! There is plenty of room between tiers and I had no issues with space at all. There was also no fear of tipping as this thing is very steady. I plan to use it at my son's birthday in a few weeks and have already had requests to borrow it and to bring specially decorated cupcakes to upcoming Fourth of July picnics! I am so pleased I purchased this item!

I recently purchased the iron for my wife and she is pleased in almost every respect. The only complaint she has is that when she sits it down like an iron is normally rested, on the rear side, it is not stable. I had cut the holder off her ironing board when she had the cordless iron because it was simply in the way.

Our ironing board is not stable so I am either going to modify it or buy a new one with the holder.
